Kahala Beach
Honolulu, Hawaii, United States
Kahala Beach is a serene, scenic, and less-crowded white sand beach located in an upscale residential area of Honolulu, near the Kahala Hotel & Resort. It offers calmer waters suitable for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling, and is popular for its tranquil atmosphere away from the Waikiki crowds, featuring public access, palm trees, and views of Koko Head.
The water is very shallow and the swim area is contained inside of the reef though, which can be limiting for distance open water swimmers.
The beach can be accessed from Waialae Beach Park where there is public parking, and where the canal water quality is monitored.
