Laudholm Beach is part of the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve in Wells Maine; however, it is a public beach. The reserve is open to the public for a small admission fee, which includes parking. No pets are permitted.

The water quality at this beach is monitored by WNERR-Laudholm Beach Manager, Nancy Viehman.
