Willows Beach is a long stretch of white sandy beach in the district of Oak Bay, approximately 15 minutes east of downtown Victoria. Its shallow, protected waters are a popular swimming spot in the summertime. The beach is also much loved by kayakers, paddle boarders, sun bathers and families for picnicking. Facilities include public washrooms, change rooms, picnic tables, a playground, grassy areas and a paved walking trail. There is also a concession in the summer season. Access to the beach is from Beach Drive and there is a paved parking area at the end of Dalhousie Street, off Beach Drive.

The sampling location at Willows Beach is near a small creek at the end of Dalhousie Street, just below the paved parking area.
