Willis Street Beach is an unguarded beach on the Choptank River at the foot of Willis Street in Cambridge, MD. The beach consists of a sand deposit located on the river-side of a seawall and is bordered by rip-rap. The beach is mostly accessible except on high tides. Most often you'll find the beach being used by local youth wading in the water, dog walkers, and the occasional paddler. The beach does not have any nearby amenities and parking is limited to the roadside. Water samples are collected from this site as part of the Swimmable ShoreRivers bacteria monitoring program where bacteria samples are collected every week on Thursdays from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
