The West Island Town Beach is a swimming beach located in Fairhaven. The beach is actually located on West Island; more than half the island is a state reservation and park. Common activities on the island include boating, fishing, cycling, and surfing, to name a few. Swimming is also a popular activity and there are lifeguards on duty during the summer season who offer swimming lessons. Visitors to the Town Beach must have a beach pass, which can be purchased at the BPW office or at the beach entrance. There are restrooms here.
