-Metal staircase leading down into the Dan River. The parking area is gravel and becomes mostly sand as you approach the stairwell.
*Pro Tip
-Be sure to visit 'The Mad Bean' and 'Hell on Horsecreek Brewing' in downtown Madison! They are conveniently located directly next-door to one another and regularly host music or food-truck events. 'SteamWorks: Bar and Grill' is located in the upstairs of 'The Mad Bean', entrance is in the rear of the building beside of the patio.
-While standing on the lower steps of this access and facing UPSTREAM, you can view remnants of the 'A & Y Railroad' stone bridge supports near the river's bend.
