One of Hawke's Bay's "Top 5" beaches for water quality, Waipatiki Beach is in a small cove, located approximately 20 km north of Napier. The beach is popular for swimming, surfing, diving and picnics, bush and cliff walk. A surf lifesaving patrol is in operation over the popular 4 weeks of the Christmas-New Year holidays.
