The Waingongoro is a ring plain river that drains an extensively developed agricultural catchment. This seasonal swimming spot is located behind Taumata Park, in Eltham.

For all sites, the Council advises:

Avoid for three days after heavy rain, if the river is high, or if you cannot see the bottom clearly.
