A few miles south of the more popular Siesta Key Beach is Turtle Beach. This beach does not have the perfect white sand, but it is a better location for shelling. Turtle Beach is a more quiet, less trafficked beach than Siesta and for this reason it is favored by some visitors.

Unlike Siesta, Turtle Beach has no lifeguards or concessions but this convenience is replaced by a more calm environment. Restrooms, playground, and picnic pavilions are available to guests.
