The Harry Tappen Beach is part of a complex of Long Island beaches that are owned and operated by the Town of Oyster Bay and open to town residents. Therefore, you won’t catch a sight of big crowds although it is a great beach. The tranquility of the water and the beautiful shoreline make up for a relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.

Facilities also include an outdoor pool, a playground, a picnic area, and even a golf area. For those who prefer fishing adjacent to the beach can be found the largest public marina of the Town of Oyster Bay.
