BEACH INFO:

The water is perfect for swimming and the park is perfect for picnics, with lots of tables, beach fire pits and plenty of shade. The light sand is soft and fine, and the lake bottom is also free of most rock.

There's a kids playground, volleyball net, and there is also plenty of grass area for a game of bocce ball or a game of frisbee. The beach also has change rooms, showers, outdoor water taps for rinsing off sand, and water fountains. There are fire pits on the beach.

Sun-Oka is also somewhat pet friendly, with a 'doggy beach' area for pets. Pets are not allowed right on the main beach, though, and if you're walking with your dog you're required to stay off the sand, and your dog must be on a leash.
