Stony Creek Beach is a small, sandy beach in Branford. There are lifeguards on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Aside from swimming, visitors to this beach also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, and fishing. There are seasonal restrooms available. Stony Creek is also the gateway to the Thimble Islands, where legends say Captain Kidd's treasure is buried.
