St. Augustine Beach A Street
St. Augustine, Florida, United States

Home to the 1896 sighting of the “St. Augustine Monster,” St. Augustine’s beaches still invite wildlife observations and are located on a barrier island bordered by the Matanzas River and the Atlantic Ocean. This stretch of Anastasia Island’s coast offers vehicular beach access and a multitude of sand and surf activities. Lifeguards are seasonal. Over 70% of sea turtle nesting occurs on Florida’s beaches, and such seasonal occurrences may affect access/use to areas. For more information about St. Johns County beach policies, please call 904-209-0322. Fishing regulations/licenses may apply.
