This beach is on Lake Winnipeg about 16 km north of Gimli, off Provincial Road 222. The community has an unsupervised public beach, with more than a km of white sand. There is a local RV resort with a restaurant that offers fresh baking and ice cream, and provides modern washrooms to beach visitors. The RV resort rents kayaks, and promotes the excellent boating found on Lake Winnipeg. The beach gets its name from the forested shores and long stretch of fine sandy beach!
