Singing Beach
Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, United States
Singing Beach is a popular and long sandy beach in Manchester. Its shore length is just under a half mile. Singing Beach offers more amenities than other beaches in the area, including a bathhouse, showers, changing areas. They are all open between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Lifeguards are on-duty in the summer, and a privately run snack bar operates seasonally as well. A Manchester resident sticker is required for parking in the summer. The local Boy Scouts sell beach parking for a small fee, located five minutes by foot from the beach in the center of town. The Manchester commuter train station is also about a five-minute walk from the beach. In the off-season months dogs are allowed on the beach from November 1 through April 30.
