This beach access is in the county operated E.G. Simmons Park. The park consists of 258 acres of native mangroves and open land areas with another 200 acres of mangrove swamp along its borders that serve as a preserve. Waterways meander through the area that has proven popular with outdoor enthusiasts since the mid-1960s. The park Some of the activities enjoyed are camping, fishing, birding, picnicking and beachcombing. Hours are seasonal, with extended hours during warmer seasons. Admission/use fee schedule applies. Onsite amenities include 87 campsites,canoe/ boat launch, fishing piers, areas for bank fishing, beach volleyball court, canoe rentals, playground, potable water and restrooms. Fishing regulations/licenses may apply.
