Shem Creek 3
Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, United States

This site is located within a private, residential area farther up Shem Creek. The creek begins in Mount Pleasant near the intersection of Highway 17 and 526. It slowly meanders past several residential neighborhoods before reaching the Coleman Blvd. bridge. Past the bridge the creek is lined with a mix of restaurants, bars, public docks, private residences, and commercial fishing docks. It is also home to several outfitters that offer guided tours of the creek and Crab Bank. They include Nature Adventure Outfitters and Coastal Expeditions. Public access is plentiful via the new Shem Creek Park public docks and the Shem Creek public boat landing off Mill Street. Shem Creek is very popular for SUPing and kayaking.
