Shady Beach is adjoined with Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk along Long Island Sound. It was opened in the 1960s, a few decades after the formal opening of Calf Pasture Beach. Amenities at Shady Beach include a park area, barbecue grills, and restrooms. Shady Beach is also a great place to enjoy a picnic with family and friends in the shaded picnic area.

There is a lifeguard on duty during the summer season. There are fees in place for nonresident parking at Shady Beach. You can purchase parking passes at the beach.
