Sea Island South
Sea Island, Georgia, United States
Sea Island Beach South is located on a 5 mile privately owned beach. This city hosted the 2004 G8 Summit. It was considered an ideal location because it is remote, easily secured and has many luxurious accommodations. Media and protestors were banned from the Island at this time. Sea Island is still home to many luxurious accommodations.
This beach is monitored monthly. It is currently marked grey because monthly data may not be current enough to establish whether the water is safe for swimming.
