School House Beach

Located on a cove on Washington Island, Schoolhouse Beach is a smooth stone beach. The name of the beach originates from an old schoolhouse that was built near the beach in 1850. Visitors to the beach should be aware that the millions of stones that make up the beach can be difficult to walk on without foot protection.
