Santa Monica Beach at Santa Monica Canyon
Los Angles, California, United States

Great for swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding there is a concession stand, picnic tables, and sand volleyball courts. The south bay bicycle path extends 19.1 miles from Will Roger’s beach to Torrance Beach. Given its central location to Los Angeles you can often find film crews taking advantage of this beautiful location. It is a typical flat California beach with lots of sand. Considered Los Angeles’ unofficial gay beach, it's been popular with the LGBT community since the 1950's. There are ample paid parking lots and limited on street parking. The western/northern most point begins at the intersection Temescal Canyon Road and Pacific Coast Highway and extends east/south to just west of the intersection Chautauqua Boulevard and PCH.
