Sandy Point State Park is located on the northwestern shores of Chesapeake Bay. Sandy Beach is located at the end of South Beach Road. It's a great place to swim (although the water is cool), or just lay in the sun. There is an area of this beach where lifeguards are on duty until 6pm during the summer season. Amenities include restrooms and showers. Visitors to Sandy Beach will also find snack food and other supplies. The park itself is great for fishing, boating, crabbing, and hiking.
