Sandy Lake Park Beach
Bedford, Nova Scotia, Canada

Sandy Lake, 25 minutes from Halifax, has a supervised swimming area, picnic tables overlooking the lake, public washrooms and a hiking trail that loops around the lake. The lake has bass and speckled trout making it an excellent fishing spot.
The beach is located within the Bedford Lions Club Sandy Lake Park, which offers popular off-leash dog areas.
This is a freshwater beach and is tested for E. coli.
“Big Sandy Lake” is situated in Bedford, Nova Scotia. The lake is a major water body within the Sackville River Watershed, and it’s health is vital to the ecology of the area.
