Established in the 1970s, The Sands at Atlantic is located in Atlantic Beach, an unincorporated area in the Town of Hempstead. This beach is a great destination if you want to be in a family-oriented atmosphere.

The Sands includes over 300 cabanas on a 12.25 acre land of white sand. The most popular activity of the club is surfing even though the club's accommodations feature basketball, volleyball, and paddle ball courts, a playground, and a swimming pool. For those who's children are looking to meet new friends, a day camp is set up for kids ages 2-14.
