Sanders Beach
Pensacola, Florida, United States
In 1908, Pensacola mayor Calvin Goodman requested a land donation from the Maxtent Land Company. The 3.5 acres of waterfront property that was received was developed into a public park and later named for Frank Dent Sanders, a prominent civil servant. The grounds house Sanders Beach and the Corinne Jones Community Center. Onsite amenities include beach access, swimming area, boat launch, picnic tables, grills, playground, and restrooms.
