Sandbridge Beach is located south of Virginia Beach's resort area on the Atlantic Ocean. Here you will find five miles of sandy beach. There are lifeguards on duty during the day from Memorial Day through Labor Day. For those who are driving to the beach, there is municipal parking nearby; parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day through Labor Day. You will find restrooms just south of Sandbridge Market. The Sandbridge Beach area has many vacation cottages and houses for rent, and you will find restaurants and shops nearby.
