Saltaire Beach-Bay
Saltaire, New York, United States

Saltaire is a village on Fire Island in the southern part of the town of Islip in Suffolk County, located in between towns Kismet and Fair Harbor. On the bayside, off of Bay Promenade, there is a long fishing and boat pier that encloses a swimming area and a great spot for anglers.
There are just over 400 homes in the community including a village court, general market, fire house, and a yacht club. It is the second largest Fire Island community and consists of boardwalks, concrete paths, and sand paths. Like the rest of Fire Island, bicycles are the primary form of transportation. The Saltaire Yacht Club, founded in 1911, is the social center of the village and all property owners and renters are eligible to join. It has tennis courts, a bar, and the only restaurant in the village which serves dinner six nights per week. Sailing lessons are offered as well as a wide variety of activities and events during the summer months, including features of Broadway comedians, singers, and entertainers. This is a Tier II beach.
