This is a public beach access near the historic lighthouse and museum that greet visitors as they complete their 6 mile trek along the bridge connecting the St. George Island to the mainland. Located in the Big Bend region, the barrier island is approximately 30 miles in length and ideal for those wanting to experience Florida’s natural beauty while enjoying uncrowded beaches. St. George State Park is located on the easternmost tip of the island. Onsite amenities include paved parking, playground, restrooms and a boardwalk provides visitors with access to the sandy shore along the Gulf of Mexico. No lifeguards are on duty.
