Sagg Main
Sagaponack, New York, United States

Sagg Main Beach is a lifeguard-protected Southampton Town public beach at the sound end of Sagg Main Street in Sagaponack. There are few features to get in the way of the beautiful scenery. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am to 5pm and the beach closes at 9pm. Senior citizen, resident, and nonresident seasonal permits are accepted and daily passes can be obtained at Sagg Main on weekdays only. Pets are not allowed between April 1 and October 1 but are permitted at all other times. Camping, alcohol, bonfires, glass containers, solicitations, unsupervised children, loud music, and littering are prohibited. Residents can obtain a beach barbeque permit for after 6pm from the Parks and Recreation Office. There is drive-on access but only with a Southampton Town Trustees 4x4 beach driving permit. Every other Monday evening during the summer, Sagg Main Beach is the site of a large drum circle with occasional spectacles like fire dancers!
