Sag Harbor: Long Beach
Sag Harbor, New York, United States

Commonly known as Long Beach, this public Southampton Town Beach is officially named Foster Memorial. Located on a thin strip of land on Noyac Bay, Long Beach Park brings the expected calm of a bay beach, with still waters that are great for boating and fishing. It is a safe and scenic route for cyclists and a great spot for sunbathers. Senior citizen, resident, and non-resident seasonal permits are accepted. Lifeguards are usually on duty from 10am to 5pm during summer months. Pets are allowed on dog walk routes, parking areas, and paved foot paths. They are prohibited in buildings, on the beach, and in picnic areas and must remain on a leash. Camping, alcohol, bonfires, glass containers, unsupervised children, loud music, graffiti, and littering are prohibited. Residents can obtain a beach barbecue permit for after 6pm from the Parks & Recreation Office. Parking permits are required between May 15 and June 25 from 9am-6pm and at all times between July 1 and Labor Day. Daily passes are available at Long Beach. The beach closes at 9pm. There is drive-on access but only with a Southampton Town Trustees 4x4 beach driving permit.
