After parking in the Rosy Mound parking lot, visitors have to walk a fair bit on the boardwalk to get to the beach. The sandy beach is not lifeguarded but is worth visiting since it has an amazing view of Lake Michigan. Down at the beach, visitors will have access to rustic washrooms, picnic areas, and cooking grills. For those who would like to explore the park, there are many hiking trails with interpretative signs for interesting information about the ecosystem.
