Roosevelt Bridge
Stuart, Florida, United States
Completed in 1996, the Roosevelt Bridge is a segmented bridge allowing U.S. Route 1 traffic to transverse the St. Lucie River. The structure replaced the 1934 constructed northbound drawbridge and its 1964 southbound counterpart. Dixie Highway/State Road 707 travelers continue to utilize the 1964 construction. The Flagler Park and Recreation Center invites guests to enjoy the waterfront amenities. Onsite amenities include pavilions, basketball courts, playground, paved pathways, WiFi hotspot and handicap accessible restrooms. Another Stuart recreational locale is in close proximity. At 600 SW Ocean Boulevard, Shepard’s Park hosts a boat launch, fishing pier, riverwalk, covered picnic areas and playground. Both city operated parks are open from sunrise to sunset, year-round. Fishing regulations/licenses may apply.
