Rodanthe Pier is a privately owned fishing pier with public beaches on either side. There is no surfing, kayaking or kiteboarding within 300 feet of the pier.

Fishing licenses are not required for the pier however visitors must purchase a day or week pass. The Pier House sells and rents fishing supplies and has a game room and snack bar.
