Robert Moses Field #3
Babylon, New York, United States

Robert Moses State Park in Western Suffolk County, perhaps the most pristine and peaceful of the state-run beaches, offers seaside serenity like no other. Visitors can explore five miles of sandy shores on the Fire Island beach as well as several nature trails to the east giving walkers a chance to gawk at the seabirds and famed Fire Island deer that call the park home. As well as the beach where visitors can swim or surf, Robert Moses features a historic lighthouse, an 18-hole pitch and putt golf course, picnic areas, showers, a day boat basin, concession stands at the five fields, and a new playground to entertain the kids. Hours of operation vary weekly but are generally 9am-6pm. Rates are $10 during summer season.
