Located in Prince George's County, Maryland, National Harbor is a waterfront district that offers a wide variety of activities and attractions, ranging from water-focused adventures, to hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The Capital Wheel allows visitors to enjoy scenic views of the Potomac River and the Washington D.C. and Alexandria skylines. Parking is available for a fee. National Harbor hosts weekly swimming events. People also rent kayaks and standup paddle boards at National Harbor. Hikers, dog-walkers, and bikers routinely use the green way trail located on the bay surrounding National Harbor. Several stormwater outfalls discharge into the Harbor.

Water quality standards as well as the methods used to determine pass or fail status vary widely across jurisdictions and monitoring programs. We encourage users to explore the sample data in addition to checking the swim guide status. These data can be viewed through the Chesapeake Monitoring Collaborative Data Explorer, https://cmc.vims.edu/#/home
