(La version française suivra) Shirley's Bay, to the west of Ottawa, is a provincially significant wetland and the largest marshland in the Greenbelt. It is also the one of the best spots in Canada’s Capital Region for birdwatching. The Bay is an old channel of the Ottawa River and has a launch for small boats. Within the conservation area there are 7 kilometers of hiking trails and two recreational paths: the Watts Creek Pathway and the Greenbelt Pathway West. The parking is free, washrooms are available and you can find several picnic tables at your disposition.

La baie Shirley, à l’ouest d’Ottawa, est une zone humide d’importance provinciale et le plus grand terrain marécageux de la Ceinture de verdure. C’est aussi l’un des meilleurs endroits de la région de la capitale du Canada pour observer les oiseaux. La baie est un ancien chenal de la rivière des Outaouais. On y trouve un point de mise à l’eau pour petites embarcations. À l’intérieur de l’aire de conservation, il y a 7 kilomètres de sentiers de randonnée et deux sentiers récréatifs : le sentier du Ruisseau-Watts et le sentier de la Ceinture-de-Verdure Ouest. Le stationnement est gratuit, des toilettes sont disponibles et plusieurs tables de pique-nique sont à votre disposition.
