P.J. Hoffmaster State Park Public Beach has some of the most spectacular dune formations along Michigan’s western shore, and pristine sand stretching for 3 miles along the lake front. The sheltered valleys make fantastic habitat for migrating birds. The nature center is named for Gillette, who scouted for new parks for Hoffmaster.
