Perdido Key State Park

Perdido Key is located near Pensacola and along the Gulf of Mexico. The 247-acre barrier island protects the mainland from the harsh effects of storms and provides habitats for shorebirds and other coastal wildlife. This state park access includes protected species habitat. Handicap accessible facilities are available. Boardwalks from the parking areas protect the delicate dune system, while allowing visitors to access the Gulf’s white sands and surf. Other activities to be enjoyed include canoeing, surf fishing, wildlife and bird viewing, body surfing and snorkeling. The park is open 8 a.m. to sundown, year-round. Admission/use fee schedule applies. No lifeguards are present. Onsite amenities include covered picnic areas, showers, restrooms, and picturesque views.
