This is not an official beach but unsigned access to the East River in a semi-protected area between the Brooklyn Bridge (south) and Manhattan Bridge (north). It's closer to the Manhattan Bridge and kind of noisy due to that.

There is no current.

The area seemed popular with jetskis.

It's also popular with children or anyone wanting to get their feet wet.

Access to the water is easy. You walk in over pebbles and submerged rip rap. There is no sand,

There are no lifeguards.

Bathrooms. There's a building run by Brooklyn Bridge Park that has bathrooms but it wasn't open.

Changing Facility. If the bathroom building is not open, then there's technically no changing facility. There are trees and shrubbery that may afford sufficient privacy to change.

Views will be of the Manhattan skyline and the two bridges, Jane's Carousel and the outdoor cafe's

Amenities. You are right next to Jane's Carousel, the Brooklyn Bridge and a string of outdoor cafes. The Manhattan skyline is visible across the river..

There is a CSO right here.

This is the site of the Most Socially Distanced Office by Improv Everywhere.
