Mandalay County Park is at the southern end of a several mile stretch of undeveloped beach that straddles the Oxnard-Ventura border. With the exception of a coastal power plant, you can walk a few miles along undeveloped shoreline through McGrath State Beach, Santa Clara Estuary Natural Preserve and Surfers Knoll (Ventura Harbor). There are no facilities, access is a long walk over sand and parking is limited to an undeveloped side of residential street.
