Oregon Inlet Coastguard Station (N24)

The Oregon Inlet Coastguard Station conducts search and rescue, boating safety, law enforcement, and marine environment protection operations. The crew is available 24 hours a day annually that responds to calls for assistance. This coastal region is known as the "Graveyard of the Atlantic" because of the numerous shipwrecks that occur on the North Carolina seacoast. There are a number of charter fishing boats to choose from in the area.
