Omana Beach is known as one of the best beaches for families with young children. The water is generally shallow, even during high tide, and children love to explore the shallow pools become exposed during low tide. The area is limited mobility accessible and has amenities including campgrounds, picnic areas with grills, children's playground, drinking water and large fields perfect for sports. Farm animals and over 26 species of birds can be found here. Omana Children's Day, an annual celebration in February or March is hosted at this beach.

This beach has received a special status of green. The area is no longer monitored due to its history of excellent water quality.
