This cobble/boulder substrate site is located next to SH2 between Paeroa and Waihi. The banks are lined with poplar trees and the catchment above this site is a mixture of native forest DoC land and pasture. This site is also included in the NIWA National River Quality Network (NRWQN).

This site is monitored for 12 weeks over the summer period (the start of December to the end of February).
