Ohau River at Kimberley Reserve

Exceptionally busy during the summer, the Kimberley Reserve is a flat, grassy area with numerous inviting swimming holes. The reserve is set alongside the Ohau River and is a favourite of overnight campers, an activity allowed only with a council permit from the nearby town of Levin. Public toilets are available from December to March.
Kimberley Reserve is a recreational reserve and camping ground managed by Horowhenua District Council. It is extremely popular during the summer holiday period as a camping and picnicking destination. With multiple picnic tables throughout the reserve, public toilets and dog friendly this is the perfect spot for a family outing.
