Ocean Beach Pier
San Diego, California, United States

Ocean Beach is home to the longest concrete pier in the world, it includes a café half way out for dining with wonderful views (at the end of Niagara Street). There is a small parking lot near the pier at the intersection of Newport Avenue and Abbott Street. Anyone can fish directly off the pier, even without a fishing license. Tide pooling is a popular activity during low tide. There is a lifeguard tower located nearby and the main lifeguard headquarters further down the beach (at the end of Santa Monica Avenue). On the north side of the main Lifeguard headquarters there are public bathrooms. Slightly to the north of the pier beyond the sand is a grassy patch that often is host to fire spinners, boomerang throwers, bubble blowers, kite fliers, drum circles, yoga classes and a small crafts market on Saturdays.
