Norton Point Beach
Edgartown, Massachusetts, United States
Until 2007 when a storm caused a breach, this beach was a link between Martha's Vineyard and Chappaquiddick; however, the two are no longer connected. Norton Point Beach offers visitors 2.5 miles of sand and dune. Birdwatching is a popular activity all year round at Norton Point Beach. The nice views also make it a great place to relax and have a picnic. There are no lifeguards, and riptides and strong currents can make it unsafe to swim so please be cautious. Those wishing to swim can do so at nearby South Beach.
