The Norman E. Klipp Park, also known as Gull Pond Beach, is located at the end of Manhanset Avenue in Greenport. This spacious beach, park, and marine access site features a spectacular view of Shelter Island. The beach has a large parking area, playgrounds, restrooms, benches, grills, picnic tables, a boat ramp, and lifeguards are on duty during summer months. Common activities include fishing, jet skiing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, and snorkeling. Parking and boat launching is by Southold Town permit only: residents $6 per year, non-residents $150 per year and $25 daily. Hours are sunrise-10pm daily, and lifeguard hours are 11am-5pm. Handicap accessible. No alcohol, fires, pets, or driving on the beach permitted. This is a Tier III beach.
