Nickerson Beach Central Terrace

Nickerson Beach (often referred to as Nassau Beach) is a 155-acre recreational area along the Atlantic Ocean in Lido Beach, New York. There is no shortage of things to do at this beach and park! In addition to beach access, visitors to Nickerson can camp, play ball, enjoy a game of beach volleyball, or visit the Fun Zone for basketball and skateboarding. Options for swimming include two pools and the ocean! It's also a great place to just relax in the sun and sand. One area of the beach consists of a roped-off nesting area for the Piping Plover. Please help protect this federally protected bird. Additional amenities include a concession stand, restrooms and showers, and a dog run area. There are all-terrain wheelchairs available by reservation.
Parking fees are in effect from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
