New Castle Beach on Halfmoon Lake in Barnstead is a private beach. This beach is very hard to find and is known as secret beach. Locke Lake has seven beaches and Colony residents may also use three beaches on Half Moon Lake. The amenities of the Colony are available to members and their guests. They include a baseball field, tennis courts, a six hole golf course, two pools, playground, two marinas (one with a launching ramp) and the Community Lodge.
