Napeague Harbor is a popular kite boarding and kite surfing destination within Long Island. Located next to the Walking Dunes state park, the western access point at Napeague Harbor East is a red sand beach! There is not a ton of beach for laying out a towel, but it is a launch area for paddleboards, kayaking, or for a quick dip. You can frequently find horseshoe crabs throughout Napeague Harbor. Public parking is available alongside the Napeague Harbor access road. There are no restrooms onsite. This is a beautiful location to take a walk through some of the most pristine dune ecosystems on Long Island.
